Article I posted about Cracked Heat Exchangers over the winter 2017

Recently, I received a call from concerned homeowner that her 10 year old Trane furnace has cracks in heat exchanges. Another HVAC organzation came out inspected all three furnaces and condemned those furnaces due to cracks in heat exchanger. Homeowner has qty.3 furnaces which are barley 10 years old. Upon further inspection of heat exchangers I could not find any cracks in my professional opinion would warrant a dangers furnace. Yes, cracks in heat exchangers could pose a health hazarded. Always question how the cracks were found; ask to see those cracks. If unsure get a second opinion. Enclosed photos are legit cracks in heat exchangers and warrants a new furnace.
